Both Xbox One Scorpio and Play Station 4 Pro are on their way but in a different style. The companies behind these mid-generation consoles are Microsoft and Sony and these companies are taking diverse approaches as compared to their high-end gaming consoles.

Users are aware of PS4 Pro as it had been unveiled by Sony in September. Comparatively, Microsoft is totally silent and is not disclosing much about the Xbox One Scorpio. The final name has not yet been decided for this device. Hence there is little information available to have a solid comparison between both these consoles.

Microsoft says that Xbox One Scorpio shall be equipped with 4K Blue-ray drive. On the other hand, Sony is of the view that physical optical drive is less important as it was in the past. This thing is not budging as Sony is the reason behind media playing gaming devices since the occurrence of PlayStation2.

Microsoft has positioned this device as a premium console for hardcore gamers and it shall be priced as premium at the end of 2017. These gaming consoles are affordable desktop alternatives and the PC prices are going down. Hence the gamers should be conscious about the price point of such devices.

PS4 Pro is equipped with octa-core AMD Jaguar x86-64 bit CPU with 4.2 Teraflop graphics, whereas the Xbox Scorpio will have a powerful GPU of 6 Teraflops.

The bandwidth in Xbox Scorpio shall be 320 Gbps and the same shall be 218 Gbps in the PS4 Pro. Hence the Scorpio shall be faster than the PS4 Pro which is stuck on GDDR5 memory.

As per confirmation from Sony PS4 shall be priced $399 which is an economy. But Microsoft has not confirmed the price range of Xbox. Maybe it is sold at $499 or little more. We will have to wait for the final confirmation by Microsoft. Both these consoles are equally good rest the customer will decide for himself.
