People are always puzzled about the stylus of every new Surface. You never know how Microsoft is going to upgrade its pen stylus accessory which comes bundled with each tablet.

Earlier this year Microsoft uncovered a patient for the stylus that is going to feature a rechargeable battery. The surface Pen will have a magnetic charging dock with connectors meant for Surface Dock mounting.

Apart from firmware, the users were impressed with Surface Pro 4 and there is always a room for improvement. Right from the screen size, display and the hardware inside Microsoft is going to craft an even better Windows 10 tablet.

There were issues with the battery life and sleep mode of Surface Pro 4. The battery worked for 5 hours 15 minutes whereas Microsoft had promised 9 hours.

Users are realistically expecting at least 7 hours battery life from Surface Pro 5. In this way, this device shall be closer to MacBook Air and competing tablets like iPad Pro.

If the surface Pro 5 is equipped with a 4K screen which is 3840 pixels wide than its entertainment and productivity capabilities shall be ripped wide open. It would be comfortable for film and photo editors to work at the native resolution and an average user could watch a Netflix in 4K on a tablet.

It is possible that the iPad Pro is available with 12.9-inch display and the extra space is helpful in boosting the battery life.

Finally, it's time for USB-C and this has been noticed in Google Chromebook Pixel and MacBook. Even Chromebook 13 by HP has two USB-C ports.  Availability of USB technology in Surface Pro 5 will slightly alleviate its input/output problem.

Microsoft has already tested the USB-C technology in its Lumia phones so it's no brainer to apply the same technology to the Surface line.

The Surface Pro 5 will take at least five more months to reach the stores. Hence there is lots of space and time for rumors to bloom.
