Brad Pitt and George Clooney's friendship now is more crucial than ever amidst the former's divorce battle with wife Angelina Jolie. Per Hollywood Life, Clooney wants Pitt to attend his Halloween party to get his mind off his marital woes.

Pitt is understandably in a gloomy mood right now as his very public divorce proceedings drag on. Moreover, there are child-abuse allegations he has to deal with. This makes him in no mood to attend such merry making. He's relying on his best bud Clooney for a shoulder to lean on during this dark times.

As noted by YahooNews, the LA County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is investigating allegations concerning Pitt's involvement in a mid-air incident with fifteen year-old adopted son Maddox about a private jet last September 15. This extension was made due to reported new 'key accusations'.

Crashing On Clooney's Crib

A few weeks back HL also interviewed a source regarding Pitt's crashing at Clooney's place to seek refuge. The source said that Pitt has been spending nights at Clooney's LA estate to fight loneliness. The latter has always been someone Pitt could trust. He's helping his friend stay strong by being there for him when he needs it most.

Thus, the suggestion of Clooney for Pitt to attend his star-studded party filled with the most beautiful single women in Hollywood. But with his wife and kids involved, and his marriage falling apart, who would be in the mood for romance? Still, Clooney was just trying to help.

Rumors were floating around that Jolie finally filed for divorce after getting fed up over Pitt's drinking and substance abuse problem. The actor was even accused of having an affair with his co-star Marion Cotillard. Cotillard vehemently denied such allegations. She's very much happy with her long time boyfriend and father of their five-year old son and another one on the way.
