Looks like fans of Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan will just have to be more patient as Outlander Season 3 official release date hasn't been announced yet. Sam Heughan candidly talked about the upcoming season's ongoing production and the challenges they are currently facing, as accounted by IBTimes.

He explained that they had two seasons commissioned for Outlander. They're doing eleven months. They're done by the end of May wherein they'll be finishing in South Africa. Season 4 production will begin shortly after. There were a lot of aspects the cast and crew had to deal with such as different locations required by the shoot and extensive timeline. Showrunner Ronald D. Moore already gave a heads up to everyone prior so that people on the set won't have such a difficult time adjusting.

Moore shares that even though it's exciting creatively, it's extremely difficult when it comes to production. You have to come up with a whole series with each new season. You have to search for new locations, build new sets, have new cast members, design new costumes, deal with different eras. This lengthens the time for preparation and shooting. So this makes it more difficult and you'd have to have more mental energy to resolve new problems.

Balfe and Heughan Not In Love- That's Final!

No matter how many times they deny it, fans don't seem to buy it. That's because they're doing such a good job on screen and have such wonderful chemistry as a pair. So when Vanity Fair Italy sat down with the stars to clear the issue once and for all, hearts were shattered to pieces for sure.

Balfe said it's a compliment and that they work hard to arrive at that chemistry. They are good friends and have a similar view on life. But it bothers her when people claim they are together and it's simply not true. Heughan had also affirmed this truth. It saddens him but it also mean they're doing a good job. It's amusing and Balfe is wonderful. But they're just very good friends.

Yeah. It's just hard to believe when they're doing those steamy bed scenes. But if you say so...
