Android 7.0 Nougat is an upgrade for Android Marshmallow. The new OS has brought nifty features and a considerable number of fixes in it.

Google released the final version of Android Nougat on 22 August 2016. It is released for only compatible Google phones and will soon be available to other brands. However, the update has caused problems in some devices, particularly the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X.

The Nexus 5X is the first Smartphone to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Besides the benefits of the firmware, some issues have been encountered with the update. Important among them is the boot loop issue.

What Are The Issues?

Bootloop

Nexus 5X customers started facing random reboot issue after installation of the update. This random reboot of software is called as bootloop.

Some users tried creating cache partition and also did a factory reset, but none of them helped to resolve the issue. Despite doing this, they came across a frequent restart of mobile with an inconsistent pattern.

In Nexus help forum, another customer wrote that even deleting all apps installed from the Play store does not help in solving the issue.

Orrin, a Google employee told that those facing these issues on their Nexus mobiles have to contact the place of purchase for repair options. This move of him suggests that these problems cannot be fixed by the users by themselves. Neither a software release from Google should be expected to sort out the issue.
