Microsoft's Holographic VR Headsets To Be Revealed Next Month
Microsoft is finally ready to provide details regarding its upcoming reality headsets for windows 10. This will happen in December this year.
Lots of information shall be available regarding the hardware, capabilities, and pricing of the mixed reality peripherals which are built for Windows Holographic Platform during the WinHec events that will take place from 8-9 December and 14-15 December.
Companies like HP, Dell, Acer, and Asus are currently developing headsets for Windows 10 and all these will be powered by the same tech behind Microsoft's HoloLens device.
These devices will be incorporated with capabilities of combining virtual and augmented reality for an effect termed as mixed reality or merged reality.
In an event, Microsoft announced the Creator Update which will reach to PC users until March 2017. The company is currently talking about fancy new Surface Book i7 and Surface Studio computers.
It is believed that all the devices by Microsoft that will begin rolling out at the same time as the Windows 10 Creator Updates will allow six degrees of movement.
These degrees are left, right, upwards, downwards, backward and forward. These devices will also have a feature called inside out tracking.
This feature uses a camera inside the headset to track the weaver's movement. Hence there is no need for external additional sensors.
Microsoft also revealed that the headsets will differ depending on the manufacturer. Maybe all windows headsets are unable to deliver high end mixed reality.
There is a difference in gaming and gaming on a PC. There would be lots of difference while playing Halo and Solitaire.
These Windows 10 headsets are intending to target the more budget-friendly end of the market and the prices will begin at $299. These third party devices will require a physical wire for connecting to a PC, unlike the HoloLens. Lately, these devices might appear like HoloLens.
