Apple, the technological mammoth, known for its brand is back with MacBook Pro, a new variant in its MacBook range. With a degree of fanfare, Apple recently unveiled MacBook Pro in two variants, 13 inches, and 15 inches.

What Can You Expect?

The new MacBook Pro has one variant of a 13-inch display with a price tag starting at $1910 USD. It possesses a dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with a clock speed of 2.0 GHz and with Turbo speed variation up to 3.1 GHz.

The other variant of a 15-inch display comes with a price tag of $3027 USD. It houses a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor with a clock speed of 2.6 GHz with 3.5 GHz Turbo Boost speed variation.

Techie's Viewpoint

However, techies are not so impressed with the model due to some reasons. For being overpriced and the only 16GB of RAM, Apple's new laptops have been criticized more specifically.

On an average, most of the customers couldn't utilize 32 GB RAM; the MacBook Pro is aimed at professionals who need fast computing speed and who may 16 GB RAM as a performance constraint. Customers are disappointed that Apple has not given an option between battery life and better performance.

As Apple got the mixed response from the people which isn't expected, it gave explanations for overpricing and for its lesser RAM feature.

Why Wait?

A renowned Apple's products' analyst divulges that it is Apple's legacy to release products at higher prices and they will reduce the price tag in the upcoming years.  Resultantly, we can expect a cut off in price for the MacBook range projected to release in 2017.

The RAM

The capacity of RAM which Apple is offering now is 16GB. This limit of 16GB could be a performance barrier of MacBook. The reason for forgoing a 32GB RAM in the recent edition is due to power consumption. Researchers expect that there would be 32GB RAM feature in the upcoming release.

To attract more users, Apple may launch new MacBook in 2017 which supports 32GB DRAM. It more or less depends on Intel. If Intel manufactures the Cannon Lake CPU prompt then only we can expect this feature.

The Processor

Cannon Lake CPU has 15-25% low power consumption of LPDDR4 compared to LPDDR3. If this CPU does not enter the market within expected time, then new models will adopt Sky Lake or Coffee Lake CPU which has LPDDR3. If this happens, then RAM capacity will be 16GB only.

Cannon Lake will give incremental performance improvements. Heating issues will be less, and power consumption of this processor is minuscule. Apple is looking to incorporate this processor into its Mac so that it can deliver the best product to the world.

The Gist

Apple's new MacBook Pro has got a passionate design and features, but it has also got mixed opinions so far. Users have the least interest to upgrade for different reasons, yet the main reason for it is the price of MacBook. If you are likely to wait for a drop in price, then you have to wait until second half of 2017 for a new release of MacBook.
