Samsung Galaxy J3 2017: What To Expect From Another Budget Smartphone From Samsung.
Samsung is riding high on back to back the success of its budget smartphones Galaxy "J" series. It is learned from Android Authority that Samsung is planning to release one more model, presumably "Galaxy J3(2017)" somewhere in early 2017. According to Guide, Initial reports suggest that Samsung got the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certification, a US regulatory requirement permitting phone sales in the USA.
And further, two Samsung handset models SM-J3119 for Chinese markets and SM-J3110 for international markets were sent to TENNA, a Chinese certification agency. It is also believed that Samsung shipped some of its production units for testing to Zauba, a software testing giant in India.
The Galaxy smartphone is likely to meet the minimum expectation of Samsung fans, who are eagerly waiting for "J" Series upgrades. As per International Business Times, the phone is to be launched with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is further likely to be upgradable to Android 7.0 Nougat. The latest Android 7.0 is under Beta testing and likely to be released first on Google smartphones and subsequently on other brands in December 2016.
Samsung J3(2017) version is rumored to be 5" display with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. Samsung tries to push its premium feature of display and camera in this version to woo its fans. It features with super AMOLED display of 1028 X 720 pixel resolution. Front Camera is fitted to give a decent 8 MP resolution and rear camera offers 5MP resolution. The smartphone is reported to be embedded with 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset to deliver optimal performance.
The phone also supports 4G LTE with a battery of 2600mAh. Though the battery had just enough juice, but won't last enough for high gaming and constant video viewing. It has been often criticized by many that the biggest let down in Samsung smartphones is their battery performance.
It is well known that Samsung budget smartphones are going to reap the market share immediately upon release. We believe that the smartphone will be launched with a price tag of $150, with this low specs, in April 2017
