A recent buzz claimed that Ian Somerhalder was replacing Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey in the future sequels of 'Fifty Shades.' Clearing the air, Jamie Dornan debunked the rumor in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel.

Shortly after the teaser of 'Fifty Shades Darker' was released, a rumor started circulating that Ian Somerhalder was being considered for the role of Christian Grey, instead of Jamie Dornan. It was mentioned that Dornan's wife Amelia Warner wanted him to discontinue further projects of 'Fifty Shades' as it leaves her feeling uncomfortable due to the explicit sex scenes, Parent Herald reported.

In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Dornan opened up about his role in 'Fifty Shades'  in a rather humorous way. As he stated that he's busy promoting 'The Fall,' the actor compared and explained the difference between his two films.

"There's a sort of energy in the eyes of a 'Fifty Shades' fan that the fans of 'The Fall' just don't process. It's like a hunger, and you can sort of see it and smell it. If it's in a pack, it's terrifying" said Dornan in the interview.

However, when asked about the controversy involving Ian Somerhalder replacing him in future sequels of 'Fifty Shades,' Dornan replied he doesn't know anything about the circulating rumors. He further added that it would be an expensive error for the producers as they have already started work on the two 'Fifty Shades' sequels- 'Fifty Shades Darker' and 'Fifty Shades Freed.'

"I don't know. That would be really hard for them to do, considering we shot both movies," said the actor. He then added, " That's an expensive mistake, I'll put it that way. But good luck to him [Ian Somerhalder] he'll be great.

E! confirmed that 'Fifty Shades Darker' will be releasing on February 10, 2017 and 'Fifty Shades Freed,' on February 9, 2018.
