Galaxy Note 8: What We Know So Far
Samsung is looking to gain the trust back of people all around the world and move forward. Rumors have it that they would be continuing and improving the Galaxy Note lineup, and they have, with a Galaxy Note 8.
According to the latest rumor, Samsung has modeled a device with the number SM-N950, which is currently in the works. The number is of importance as all of Samsung's Note devices has had the SM-N9 number, every year. The Note 7 had a very similar number: SM-N930 and its variants were also numbered similarly. Not surprisingly, SM-N920 was the number given to Galaxy Note 5, the Note flagship of 2015.
Therefore, it can be concluded from this number series, that the next Samsung phone in the lineup with this model number is indeed the Galaxy Note 8. However, right now nothing can be confirmed, as Samsung hasn't made any official statements as of yet. Moreover, if it is announced, the sequence for the next Note would presumably follow the S8, just like every year.
Speaking of the Galaxy S8, the phone already is swimming in a pool of rumors. The first rumor is that Samsung is considering two sizes for the new S8 display with a 5.7-inch and a 6.2-inch model. The second rumor is that the new phones would come with a digital assistant since the Google Assistant is only exclusive to the Google Pixel and the Pixel XL for now. Samsung's new assistant would rival Siri and Google assistant, and in some ways, it would also rival Cortana.
Samsung is also rumored to feature an on-screen finger scanner, a first from a manufacturer. The new phone presumably would have a bezel less screen.
The new specs of the S8 have still not come into the picture, however, it is presumed the S8 would be yet another triumph over the shortcomings of the S7.
