‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Spoilers Reveal How Katherine Is Connected To The Final Season
'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 saw the return of Tyler and Matt. Does that mean the show could also have Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) return in the final season? Spoilers suggest that the CW drama's storyline has a surprising connection to the dead vampire, International Business Times reported.
Season 8 Episode 4 of 'The Vampire Diaries' revealed that Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) is not the only siren around but that she and Celine (Kristen Gutoskie) have been killing for Arcadius (Wole Parks). Sybil believes he is the devil because Arcadius, often called Cade, wants the souls of bad people in hell. Georgie's death scene in 'The Vampire Diaries' felt like this might actually be hell.
Georgie used the word 'hell' when she was describing her brief experience with death to Alaric (Matt Davis). Audience was able to see her soul after dying. Georgie was dragged and eventually pulled up into the sky similar to how Katherine left in Season 5 of the series. This is a very important link because the 'hell' being discussed in 'The Vampire Diaries' does not just have sirens' victims. It can be recalled that Katherine was not killed by Sybil, Celine or Cade but she was in fact stabbed with a traveler knife by Stefan (Paul Wesley). Some unknown mystical power then ripped her soul away when she tried to get to the Other Side. This hints that Cade has many sources other than sirens bringing him souls to hell.
Commenting on the fate of Katherine, Executive Producer of 'The Vampire Diaries,' Caroline Dries told TVGuide in 2014, "We don't say anything religious like Heaven or Hell, but that's the implication-she's going to a dark world."
'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 hasn't visited the 'dark world,' or 'hell' yet. But it could very well be visited soon as Sybil said that she gave Damon (Ian Somerhalder) a sneak peek of the hell that awaited him. Will Katherine be revealed in the hell? Nina Dobrev hasn't yet commented or confirmed on the much talked about reprisal of her role in the final season.
