'NCIS' Season 14 rating has been taking a huge dive compared to previous seasons, TV Series Finale noted.

According to reports, there is a 13.35 percent decrease than the previous seasons, raising fears and speculations over the cancellation of the show. As per Gamenguide, despite the low ratings, CBS has decided to renew the series for Season 14 and 15.

Several rumors suggested that the show has been experiencing low ratings since the departure of Michael Weatherly from the show. Weatherly played Senior Agent Tony DiNozzo and left after 13 seasons of 'NCIS' to headline his own CBS series called, 'Bull.' According to Headlines & Global News, Weatherly is set to return in 'NCIS' Season 14.

With regards to Weatherly's return in 'NCIS,' many have doubted if it can help change the continuous low ratings of the show. When Weatherly left the show, CBS brought in new characters to fill the void left by him. In fact, fans of the show seemed to move on from DiNozzo. Thus, the return of Weatherly in the show may not be a big deal after all.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that Mark Harmon, a.k.a Leroy Gibbs in 'NCIS' may be leaving the show. Many factors have been cited as the cause for his departure. Some believe it is the low ratings of the show while others speculate he has another series in his plate. Sources have also indicated that his departure might be due to health concerns. On the other hand, TMZ reported that the reason for Harmon's departure is because his dog named Dave bit one crew member of the show. It is said the crew member was hospitalized and had to undergo through a 16-stitch wound recovery.
