Motorola To Roll out Android 7.0 Nougat Update For Moto Z and Moto Z Force Smartphones On Friday
Motorola's flagship and top selling devices, Moto Z and Moto Z force were rumored to be the first in the line to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. However, Motorola and Verizon have been staying silent on if the rumors were true and if so when the users will possibly get the Nougat update. Motorola put all these speculations to rest on Friday with their announcement on the global roll out for the Android 7.0 Nougat update for Moto Z and Moto Z force.
Motorola rolled out Android 7.0 Nougat update on Friday
It started with a bunch of users receiving the update on their MotoZ and Moti Z Force Handsets. As Motorola in its announcement said that across the 'globe' both the Moto Z and Moto Z force handsets will be receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update from the beginning of this week, it mean that the Moto Z DROID and Moto Z Force DROID is also available for the US handsets of Verizon along with the other unlocked phone in the Moto Z family.
There have not been any release notes on the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Moto phones so far, however, the company is redirecting users to the software update page if they wanted to check those details. The Friday roll-out by Motorola of the Nougat update under software version NCL25.86-11 includes Nougat's split-screen mode, quick app switching, and Daydream support.
Moto Z phones become Daydream View Compatible
Hence, Daydream VR will fully support the Moto Z and Moto Z Force after Nougat update. From the words of Motorola, "Daydream offers an unprecedented opportunity to dive into a kaleidoscope of experiences." The company added, "With Daydream, you can explore new worlds, attend a sporting event or concert, enjoy your own personal cinema and so much more."
Verizon's Changelog update
Verizon's Nougat changelog said that the Android 7.0 Nougat update for Verizon Moto Z rolled out on Friday is NCL25.86-11. Other new features include bundled notifications, new notification settings, new quick settings toggles, new emoji, slide out menu in settings, and much more.
