2K Announces NBA 2KVR Experience For PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and Gear VR
Gamers can start playing NBA style Basketball with the help of VR experience. On Monday, 2K announced the official release of NBA 2KVR Experience, a set of mini Basketball games with the guidance and commentaries of renowned NBA athlete Paul George who plays the narrator in the game. The game will be available for gamers in Sony PlayStation 4, HTC Vive and Samsung Gear VR from November 22, 2016.
NBA 2KVR a package of Mini-games
According to BusinessWire, "NBA 2KVR Experience" lets players compete at the Indiana Pacer's stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse featuring NBA star Paul as the narrator who provides tips for players to improve their basketball skills in mini-games. NBA 2KVR has mini games like three-point shootout, buzzer beater and timed challenge that tests the speed and accuracy of skills in Gamers.
2K explores VR technology slowly
Although, the game is not a full-featured basketball title but a collection mini-games it is 2K's first step into the VR Technology and fans expect that the company will explore further in VR to offer real-time basketball game experience. For now, as Forbes quotes, it is more of a "high-end mobile game experience"
NBA 2KVR Gatorade boosts
NBA 2KVR gamers using PlayStation VR will be able to earn an array of attributes by gaining the in-game Gatorade boosts. The Gatorade fuel boosts will power the players up for shooting, dribbling, and running fast around the basketball court. The fuel boosts add agility and strength to enabling them to recover quickly.
Greg Thomas, the President of Visual Concepts expressed that the new "NBA 2KVR Experience" for PlayStation VR will not only provide a new avenue to the franchise, but will also enable gamers to explore new skills and VR challenges.
The NBA 2KVR is priced at $14,99. That explains why the game is not a full-featured NBA basketball game yet!
