Ubisoft Announces Release Of 'The Division' Second Paid Survival Expansion And Update 1.5

Ubisoft announced the release of "The Division" second paid Survival expansion on its recent blog post. The game's expansion has been made available for Xbox One and PC gamers, keeping the PlayStation 4 players to wait for the Tom Clancy's game till Dec. 20, 2016.

Delay In PS4 Game And Update Release

The update for PlayStation 4 is unfortunately delayed. However, if the player already has the Season Pass, the second Survival expansion will be free and they can download the game right away considering that the player has already enabled the background storage.

The second Survival expansion, which takes place in a modified version of Manhattan, was officially released on Nov. 23 together with an important update patch1.5, which will also run first on Xbox One and PC. However, even the update will be available a little later for PlayStation 4 gamers. Ubisoft has not yet confirmed the date of release for PS4 in its blog announcement.

The Division- Survival Game Mode

The trailer description of the Survival game mode says "During the devastating pandemic that followed Black Friday, rumors of a cure begin to circulate as a snowstorm approaches New York". Hence a group of up to 24 players go in search of the antidote in the highly dark zone. There are intense weather conditions that players go through before finding the cure. This open world street fight and marches game will last up to two hours.

Patch Notes And Bug Fixes In The Update 1.5

The patch notes released along with the update 1.5 says that, a new world tier bracket of 224 plus gear score has been added, that features level-34 enemy NPCs. The update also has a number of changes in all the weapon types especially from the hip fire. The stash size of the weapons like pistols, rifles and many more has been raised significantly to 150 items.

The update has also made a number of bug fixes and it has identified an upcoming bug named "weird door." The last expansion of the Survival DLC that was scheduled for the winter has been pushed to 2017.
