Samsung Galaxy S8 News And Update: Flagship Won't Be Copying iPhone This Time?
Samsung will reportedly launch the upcoming Galaxy S8 a couple of days ahead of the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona. Two Samsung Galaxy S8 models have been spotted bearing the model numbers SMG950 and SMG955.

Know Your Mobile reported that the Samsung Galaxy S8 would be an absolute beast in terms of processing power. This device will use Qualcomm's upcoming processor, the Snapdragon 835. Both Samsung and Qualcomm are working together on this chipset. Qualcomm would bring a host of changes to its 835 chipsets which may improve the battery life and it might also add power for DSLR photography.
The top tier of Galaxy S8 model may possess 256 GB storage capacity with 6GB of RAM. But it is just a speculation and the final word from Samsung is yet to arrive. The specs of Galaxy 8 may also include an iris scanner, faster wireless charging and a new virtual assistant that will compete with Siri and Google assistant.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Will Not Copy Everything On The iPhone
It seems that Samsung is not paying too much attention to Apple while plotting its own course for the Smartphone division. As BGR reported, though Samsung Galaxy S8 seems to be inspired by the iPhone 7, the smartphone is still expected to sport a major redesign and will also come with an in-house developed AI assistants in the form of Bixby and Kestra, a male and female AI personalities. This is the result of the Korean tech giant's recent acquisition of Viv, a start-up company that creates Siri-like products.

However, GameNGuide noted that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 is still pretty similar to the iPhone 7. Features like the absence of physical home key and an option for two sizes, one with a phablet version featuring dual lens and a possible pressure sensitive display are pretty reminiscent of Apple's current flagship.
Moreover, it was also mentioned that the Galaxy S8 will also bring few features similar to the iPhone 8 that will arrive next year. These features may include sensor incorporated into the display and all screen design with buttons.
