Fans of the multiplayer game had been speculating that a rumored 'Dota' 3 was going to be featured. However, it was recently announced that instead of a new franchise to the game, the "Dota 2" update 7.00 was enforced today. What should the players know of the latest items and maps?

The announcement of the "Dota 2" update 7.00 was such a big deal for the players as new heroes, skills, and items would be expected to join the realm. It's a modernization of the "Warcraft 3" game with an enhanced interface to the map and a more complicated competitive sandbox, reported PC Gamer.

The most crucial change in the game is how the leveling stats had been gone and replaced with per-hero talent system that would provide bonuses for characters that would reach levels 10, 15, 20, and 25. In fact, the previous power spikes on the key levels and the acquisition of items would enable the heroes to leap forward from their opponents at frequent intervals.

It was also reported that existing players would need to relearn a lot from the "Dota 2" update 7.00 particularly with regards to thee new counter-picks. The additional enemy details panel would also be a big adjustment for players.

On other news, Polygon reported that "Dota 2" update 7.00, would bring new characters such as would be a melee hero with the carry position. His abilities would include Wukong's command which would summon monkey soldiers to help win battles. Another power of his is the Mischief which would make him change in form, depending upon the game environment, to cuckold his rivals.

As the developers continue to adjust "Dota 2" update 7.00, this move will defer a possibility of creating a completely different game. With new heroes, items, and skills in play, will the multiplayer game survive the market with such significant changes?
