'Gotham City Sirens' Under Works, Margot Robbie, David Ayer on Board
"Gotham City Sirens" has been reported to be under works and "Suicide Squad" star Margot Robbie will be on board. In fact, David Ayer as the corresponding director will join her in the production as she will reprise the role of Harley Quinn.

Current reports indicated that DC Film heads, Geoff Johns and Jon Berg had confirmed the making of the upcoming DC Comics villains film, "Gotham City Sirens." Joining Harley Quinn in the character line-up would be Poison Ivy and Catwoman. Furthermore, the writer for "Suicide Squad," Geneva Robertson-Dworet, would also be writing for the upcoming movie, Variety reported.
Other than the villains, they would also be joined by Gotham City's heroes such as Huntress and Batgirl. Although they may clash in the upcoming movie, the plot was revealed to be similar to that of "Suicide Squad" wherein the bad guys would be doing bad for the benefit of everyone else, Inverse reported.
Robbie's role as Harley Quinn was labeled as a fan-favorite upon the release of "Suicide Squad" that the movie earned $745 million internationally. It was also revealed that the success of the actress' characterization was partly the doing of Dworet as the writer. The reports also indicated that Robbie will co-produce the upcoming movie.
'Sirens' Generally
Based on the DC Comics Universe, the self-titled "Sirens" was launched last 2009 with the three epic female villains of the "Batman" world. In fact, these villains had been labeled as the murderous characters in the world of "Batman" universe. Based upon Gotham City, Robbie revealed that her retention of her role as Harley Quinn in "Gotham City Sirens" had much to do with how the comic books have yet to tell many stories about the character. Furthermore, the actress also revealed that she was not playing Quinn just yet as she enjoyed the role, The Guardian reported.
"Gotham City Sirens" release date would be revealed soon and the corresponding cast members to play the villains and heroes, respectively. Stay tuned.
