‘Spider-Man: Homecoming': Sneak Peek About The Founder From Michael Keaton Himself
Fans had become excited upon the release of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" trailer since it was the first time that the character has finally detached himself from other Marvel Cinematic Universe films. In fact, a Hollywood A-lister by the name of Michael Keaton would be joining the cast as the main villain. What has the actor revealed about his character?
Cast Updates
After his long history with DC Comics Cinematic Universe, Michael Keaton, the actor who had played Batman on many occasions, has joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a new light - he's the new villain for the upcoming "Spider-Man: Homecoming" movie. In fact, the actor revealed that he had enjoyed playing the bad guy as opposed to being used to playing the superhero, reported Cinema Blend.
During an interview, the actor indicated that his enjoyment with the production had to do with the great actors he had worked with while playing Vulture. In fact, he mentioned that it helped him portray the role better and that the script for the movie was more protective of the story on a capitalistic level.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is Keaton's first time to play a villain in a superhero movie. After he abandoned his role as Batman, it was speculated that his reprisal of the role was accompanied with mismanagement that led him to enjoy the role of Vulture with Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Who is the Vulture?
The Vulture is one of Spider-Man's regular comic-book rivals and will be his fifth screen time in Marvel Cinematic Universe. In fact, it was revealed that Vulture's wings were seen next to Doc Ock's harness in the movie, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," reported Screen Rant.
As Spider-Man's rival for more than 50 years, Vulture was speculated to become a fresh face for the fans of the Cinematic Universe as he had not reached the hiatus of some villains in the franchise. As opposed to superpowers of some Marvel Comics villains, Vulture's deadly weapon is his intelligence as an inventor. IN fact, he had created a harness in the comics that was used by Bestman and was betrayed by such when funds were embezzled from his company. The betrayal gave birth to his villainous character.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will arrive in theaters this coming July 7, 2017.
