‘Game of Thrones' Season 7 Spoilers: Lena Headey Spills All, Cersei’s Fate Unveiled [VIDEO]
A lengthy trailer was released by HBO last week that showed "Game of Thrones" season 7 spoilers. If that's not enough, Lena Headey, the actress who plays Cersei Lannister, also spilled some beans for her character. What can fans expect from the King's Landing queen this coming summer's release?
There had been talks as to whether Queen Cersei would be able to overcome the legions of armies out to take over King's Landing and with Jaime Lannister's last look upon her that hinted betrayal. As questions about "Game of Thrones" Season 7 spoilers arose after the release of the trailer, Lena Headey revealed to an interviewee what the fans could expect for her character especially since last season's episode showed she's a survivor.
What Lena Headey Just Revealed About Cersei
As reported by Independent, Headey manifested that her character may be able to retain her position of power in King's Landing. When asked as to whether Cersei was a villain, she suggested that as Queen, she had been compelled to make decisions and kill off people the same way as any King would have. Therefore, she suggested that she did not see her character to be a villain but just a character that worked well with what she has which is the throne.
Furthermore, when she was asked as to whether she would be able to redeem herself with the lack of "Game of Thrones" season 7 spoilers from the recently released clip, Headey suggested that Cersei would have to do as much as she could to keep her on power. Does that mean that she will survive Jon Snow and the Queen of Dragon's rath?
Cersei, The Mountain Goes Back To King's Landing?
In other news, Yahoo! reported that Headey had been spending time with The Mountain actor, Thor Björnsson. She uploaded a photo of her feet and that of Björnsson while on a Croatia Airlines flight. This gave rise to possible Game of Thrones" season 7 spoilers as that would mean they are headed to film at Dubrovnik, Croatia, the location for King's Landing in the franchise. Last season, they had to film in Dubrovnik for the Myrcella scene last season. Why would the two be due there and for what scene would it be?
The answer may not have been revealed through the clip which was supposed to show "Game of Thrones" season 7 spoilers. However, the release date is just around the corner. Catch the latest season of the series this coming April 2017 on HBO.
