'Gears of War 4' DLC: Happy 'Gearsmas' Day
Microsoft is celebrating the #Gearsmas holidays with ugly sweaters and snowball fights in the recently released "Gears of War 4" DLC.
Starting Dec. 16 until Jan. 4, "Gears of War 4" DLC pack called "Gearsmas" is available for 400 credits or $0.99. According to Gamerant, the package includes icy boomshots, snowball fights, and crossplay functionality, as well as one Bounty and two random collection items to be chosen from 28 unique items.
The following items up for grabs in the "Gears of War 4" DLC include the following, as listed on Xbox Wire: 3 "Ugly Gearsmas Armor" Characters - JD, Kait and Swarm Drone, 4x Gingerbread Weapon Skin, 4x Festive Tree Weapon Skins, 4x Snowman Weapon Skins, 4x JD Wrapping Paper Weapon Skins, 4x Kait Wrapping Paper Weapon Skins, 4x Swarm Wrapping Paper Weapon Skins and 1 Commemorative Gearsmas Emblem.
Additionally, the "Gears of War 4" Daily Rewards system is giving away gifts for this holiday. The first is the Chuzzmas Emblem, which was awarded to players who logged in on Dec. 16. Gamers who will play on Dec. 27 get a chance to cop the Ice Boomshot.
Besides offering items for collection, Microsoft has also created a new "Gears of War 4" mode called the Snowball Fight. This special event features a winter-themed weapon called the Snowshot, which fires snowballs.
The "Gears of War 4" DLC pack gives each player two snowballs that can eliminate enemies in one single shot. Although only two snowballs are free, players can still search for the special ammunition throughout the map.
Xbox One and Windows 10 users can also play the Cosplay Versus mode, which rewards players with 1.5x bonus XP throughout the event. The game mode allows fans to play together in teams of up to five players.
As an additional present, Microsoft also announced that the Union of Independent Republics (UIR) faction will be joining the scene this month with their UIR Gear Pack. More details will be revealed soon for future updates on the "Gears of War 4" DLC.
