Lionsgate had recently released the "John Wick 2" trailer, which showed Keanu Reeves in more intense action sequences as the first one. The takeaways showed that the mercenary would be put out of his retirement once again as a former associate battles his way to take control of an international assassin's guild.

It has been two years since the first installment of the franchise and finally, Lionsgate has graced the fans with the first ever "John Wick 2" trailer. Like the first one, the movie is packed with action sequences - only that the second one will be more explosive as assassins were shown to be fighting against each other.

The venue for the movie was based in Rome where franchise director Chad Stahelski took the assassins back to the fan-favorite Continental Hoteland, the safe house for the elite assassins of today. In the first installment, Wick was after the Russians who terrorized his home, stole his car, and killed his dog.

As seen in the "John Wick 2" trailer, he would be hunted by the assassins as killer contracts have been activated under his name, reported Collider.

In other news, Cinema Blend reported that Wick has all access to the resources that he needed to bring down the assassins who were paid to come after him. These assassins were new faces to the franchise such as The Bowler King, played by Laurence Fishburne, Ares, played by Ruby Rose, and one unnamed assassin who's played by Common. From the trailer itself, it showed that Ares was the head of the assassins.
