Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro have teamed up once again to tell the story of a notorious, real-life mob hitman in the film "The Irishman." The story is based on a novel written by Charles Brandt titled "I Heard You Paint Houses." To make De Niro fit the role perfectly, the Oscar-winning director applied modern technology so the actor can appear younger.
Martin Scorsese has been known to create movies that had in-depth basis and those that had tremendous authenticity. As reported by Slash Film, De Niro will portray Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran who once killed 25 people and claimed to have been a party to the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa, another gangster known during the 1970s. After Sheeran came home from World War II, he became a hitman and hustler for the mob where he climbed his way up to the top.
