Minecraft Is Everywhere: Now Available on Apple TV
Minecraft is finally available on Apple TV. Its entry price is $19.99 with access to seven downloadable content packs.
About Minecraft. Minecraft was originally created by Swedish game designer Markus "Notch" Persson. It was later developed and published by Mojang, with versions released by Sony Computer Entertainment and Microsoft Studio.
The game allows players to build their own constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D procedurally generated world. The game also features exploration, crafting, combat, and resource gathering.
Minecraft has received countless praise from critics and has won numerous accolades and awards. As of mid 2016, the game has sold over 106 million copies across all platforms, with over 40 million unique players each month.
Currently, Minecraft is the best-selling PC game to date and is still widely played among people of all ages. It is second only to Tetris as the best-selling video game of all time.
Availability. One of the reasons why Minecraft has gained so much popularity is its availability on basically every platform there is. Today, the list now includes Minecraft for Apple TV.
In addition, Minecraft (Mojang) is also available in PC, mobile, and Wii U. For Microsoft Studio, it is available for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Windows Phone, and Windows 10 Edition while on Sony Computer Entertainment, the game is available for PS3, PS4, and PSV.
Downloadable on Apple TV. The game is now available on Apple TV for an introductory price of $19.99. This comes with seven downloadable content packs (Holiday 2015, Town Folk, and City Folk skin packs, and Plastic, Natural, Cartoon, and Festive 2016 mash-ups).
Minecraft for Apple TV currently doesn't have multiplayer features or Xbox Live support. However, these features will be made available in the future. Tim Cook, Apple CEO, first revealed Minecraft for Apple TV in October of this year. Apple TV users may now download their copy today.
