Android 7.0 Nougat Update: Now Available for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users are now a step closer to getting the new Android Nougat 7.0 on their smartphones. South Korean tech company Samsung has just pushed out a fresh beta for the upcoming upgrade to those who signed up for it. Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users may now download the beta version.
New Android Nought 7.0 beta build already out. The latest beta build for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge has been dubbed ZPLH. This is the fourth major beta since Samsung launched its Galaxy Beta Program in early November of this year.
Samsung has taken its time in ensuring optimal Android Nougat experience for its S7 and S7 Edge users. The latest build covers a few bug fixes, new and tweaked functionality, enhanced performance, and the removal of the Samsung Notes app which was introduced in an earlier beta build.
Users who signed up for the beta will be able to download it within the designated Galaxy app on their S7 and S7 Edge phones. Unfortunately for those who didn't sign up earlier this year, the Galaxy Beta Program is now closed.
However, the closing of the Galaxy Beta Program for users who want to sign up could indicate a final release anytime soon. This is something all Samsung smartphone users should watch out for.
The delay in releasing the actual Nougat update can be attributed to the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco earlier this year. Samsung is taking extra steps to avoid another similar incident along with improving on released beta builds for the Android Nougat 7.
Ever since US telecom carrier T-Mobile inadvertently told the public that the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones were going to be first to get the new Android OS, users have been waiting for the actual update to happen. According to rumor, other Samsung phones to get the update soon are the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
