‘Stranger Things’ OA Episode 4: Watching Stranger Things’ Pilot

The newest Netflix show “OA” and “Stranger Things” are more connected than fans think. They keep piling up the parallels between them with their unexpected friendship, alternate dimensions, and dodgy scientific experiments. In episode 4 of “OA,” there is an obvious nod to “Stranger Things” when two characters are watching the pilot of the show “Stranger Things” on Netflix.

In episode 4 of “OA,” when Jesse returns home from a late night session with the OA and his sister Ali (Melanie Ehrlich) is getting stoned on the couch, they are watching the pilot of “Stranger Things” on TV. Will’s disappearance to the alternate dimensions has parallels to the “OA” with a near-death experience. Another similarity is nosebleeding woman, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) in “Stranger Things” who gets them after using her telekinetic powers and the “OA” gets they whenever she has a premonition like a dream according to This Is Insider. There is also a creepy lab in both shows. In “OA” is held prisoner and she is forced to put a special helmet that will drown her and force her to go on another near-death experience.

According to Esquire, if fans of “OA” think they missed something, they did, Netflix’s other science fiction series “Stranger Things.” Jesse rushes home to his sister who is smoking weed on the couch and they talk while in the background fans of “Stranger Things” noticed the show’s pilot on TV. These two shows are very connected, with two women who have supernatural powers, who are bleeding through the nose and both used in laboratory experiments. Now according to “OA”, this show is something real, something that is happening right now and “Stranger Things” is something that fans are watching high on the TV. In the upcoming episodes, fans are speculating they might see a crossover from these two shows since they are very similar.
