'Gotham' Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers, & News: FOX Hints at the Return of Young Joker Jerome with New Still
"Gotham" season 3 isn't coming back on television until the 16 of January, but the network has been giving hints on whether or not the young Joker Jerome will be part of the next episodes. In a new still from FOX, fans get a glimpse of what's to come for the character.
Cameron Monaghan's Joker A.K.A. Jerome was first introduced in the latter part of the first season, only to be killed off in season 2. However, it seems that fans haven't seen the last of him, as we did hear his laughter in the season finale of the sophomore season. If this is any indication, it seems that Joker will indeed have the last laugh on "Gotham" season 3.
According to CinemaBlend, a new still has been released by FOX for "Gotham" season 3. It shows Morena Baccarin's Dr. Leslie Thompkins in a morgue, uncovering what looks like a dead young Joker A.K.A. Jerome. His face is notably covered in blood, which fans speculates is a callback to the New 52 comics storyline. In it, Joker's face is detached by the Dollmaker and he reattaches it and goes on to cause trouble in Gotham City.
ScreenCrush reports that the way "Gotham" season 3 will resurrect the young Joker A.K.A. Jerome is yet to be seen. The producers of the show recently hinted at a "Joker Cult" spreading all throughout Gotham City, as well as the "Joker Virus" that he alledgedly spread.
