Fans have been wondering for three seasons how Elizabeth Keen is connected to Red Reddington. While it has been established that Red is not Liz's father, there's a theory suggesting that Liz could still be Red's daughter. "The Blacklist" season 4 may just reveal how.

For the most part of the series, fans have been kept in the dark as to who the real parents of Liz (Megan Boone) are. CinemaBlend reported that a crazy theory making rounds on the Internet that could explain who is Liz's parentage in the forthcoming "The Blacklist" season 4. While Red (James Spader) revealed to Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) that Liz is his daughter but was then refuted to be false. However, Liz could still very well be Red's daughter since he is previously known as Katarina Rostova according to the fan theory.

"The Blacklist" season 4 midseason finale saw Red whispering more to Kirk after he revealed that Liz is his daughter. About to plunge the needle to his neck, Kirk stopped short after the implication of Red's words. Red's words to Kirk remain unknown but it was apparently enough to stop the latter from messing Liz's life, TV Guide noted.

Now fans were confused how could it Liz be Red's daughter when he previously admitted to Liz that his father died when she was young? Red also stressed that he is one never to lie to her. Here's where the crazy theory comes in. The only way for Liz to be Red's daughter, with his father dead while she was young, is if Red is indeed Katarina. "The Blacklist" season 4 may very well unfold this story.

While some "The Blacklist" season 4 fans found this theory far-fetch, there are those who think that such concept may actually make sense. For one, Katarina was never proven dead since her body was never found after the alleged suicide. While there are still a lot of things to cover as to how Karatina ended up being Red, creator, and executive producer Jon Bokenkamp remained silent regarding Liz's parentage.
