As 2017 is soon to come, "Shadowhunters" Season 2 is about to be seen this January. Freeform recently dropped a new promo trailer for the much-awaited television series adapted from Cassandra Clare's " The Mortal Instruments" titled "Don't Let Go."

In the upcoming "Shadowhunters" Season 2, Valentine and The Circle can be seen growing every minute that passes that makes Shadow World experiencing turmoil. Because of this, the Shadowhunter group becomes dishearten with The Clave and their reaction to what's happening around them. Here, fans will witness who among the team has the best loyalty as unexpected bonds will also be formed, according to Flickering Myth.

Some relationships will be tested and pushed to the limit as the favorite Shadowhunters along with the Downworlder are about to explore a new world in "Shadowhunters" Season 2. Meanwhile, there will be a different kind of family reunion coming with the Morgenstern family. To recall, Valentine (Alan Van Sprang) revealed that he is the father of Jace (Dominic Sherwood), but he abducted his son to make him join his side as he starts to build a new group of Shadowhunters using the Mortal Cup.

Clary (Katherine McNamara), too, is going to wake Jocelyn (Maxim Roy) up from her long sleep to get reunited with her mother in "Shadowhunters" Season 2. However, the imminent family reunion might happen in only a short period of time because as McNamara puts it, Clary's mother still sees her as a child although she's not that little girl anymore.

McNamara explained to Screener that her role as Clary is already a grownup lady in "Shadowhunters" Season 2. Evidently, she is now a Shadowhunter and making her mother, Jocelyn, get used to it is really a big struggle. Clary, Jace, Valentine and Jocelyn are about to go face to face in the coming first episode on Jan. 2, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. on Freeform.
