‘Super Mario Run’ Latest News & Updates: Android Version Pre-Registration Begins, Availability Rolling Out Soon

“Super Mario Run” may have reached its peak on iOS, dislodged from the top apps over at the Apple App Store. With most criticizing Nintendo for placing a $10 payment to unlock the whole version, the hefty price is seen as one of the reasons behind the sputtering popularity.

But then again, most may have forgotten the fact that this only involves the iOS side of “Super Mario Run”. After racking a record-shattering 40 million downloads in just 4 days, the same could be seen on the Android version if not more. It turns out that the Google Play Store is now entertaining pre-registration on their end with Android users getting notified once “Super Mario Run” becomes available.

There is no official timetable given as of this writing but the fact that pre-registration has started could hint at its release soon, Nintendo Insider reported. If the iOS version of “Super Mario Run” is any indication, the game app will be free and carry the same features. This includes playing through the first three levels and paying the same amount ($10) for people who want to get the full version. Could there be a crack coming out as well? On its own, “Super Mario Run” does have three challenging levels to play with.

There are also other game modes to consider like “Toad Rally”, “Kingdom Builder” and the recently added “Friendly Run”, Bloomberg reported. These standard features for the free version of “Super Mario Run” may keep gamers busy through recurring gameplay though most would want to see what the full version has to offer. However, $10 is found to be pretty steep when compared to other apps offers in the App Store.

Many believe that like the iOS roadmap, the Android version of “Super Mario Run” will end up the same. Hence, the app is expected to top the charts and likely fall several weeks later.
