There are new iPhones expected in 2017 though the reports coming out left and right have thrown many off guard. After the recent dish of a 5-inch variant crowding the iPhone 8 and iPhone 7s lines, a new twist has been added to the mix.

This has to do with an alleged 5.8-inch AMOLED backed iPhone coming out in 2017. It could be the variants tied up to the iPhone 8 or perhaps yet another iPhone crowding the quartet of rumored devices. Regardless, the things coming out right now are to be taken lightly with most eventually getting tied up to the iPhone variant coming in 2017.

From the batch, the iPhone 8 is looming as the one benefitting from this exclusive collaboration between Apple and Samsung, DigiTimes reported. The report bares that production of the 5.8-inch AMOLED displays will kick off on March 2017 with production expected to pick up in once May comes in. The reason why this display screen has been tied up to the iPhone 8 is that it may be the only one sporting the new display.

Debuting alongside the iPhone 8 are 4.7- and 5.5-inch models which are likely to be the iPhone 7s pairs. The third 5-inch model, on the other hand, is seen as the successor to the iPhone SE – meaning it could be the budget-friendly device in the mix. A key feature of this phone is the vertical-oriented dual-camera, 9 to 5 Mac reported.

With Apple expected to come out with an iPhone sporting major changes, expect the grapevine to be filled with more rumored pitches in the coming months. Among the features already out in the open include an all-glass design, powerful chipsets and a thinner smartphone at least for the iPhone 8. The iPhone 7s and 7s Plus are expected to remain with the traditional TFT-LCD displays, possibly the last batch to use the old display technology.
