‘Pokemon GO’ News & Update: Christmas Event Ends Today; New Year Update Allows More Options, Running Until Jan. 8
"Pokemon GO" Christmas event will soon come to an end, but fans can still enjoy the game's New Year update. Although this will be the last day that fans can enjoy the perks of the game's celebration of the Yuletide, they can still enjoy their last chance to get free Incubators as it bid its goodbye.
When the "Pokemon GO" Christmas event officially ends, PokeStops will no longer allow the single-use of Incubator after the first spin of PhotoDisc. This would also be their last chance to find eggs that hatch Togepi, Pichu and other Johto region Pokemon. Of course, this includes the Yuletide theme Pikachu that can be obtained in large numbers, Daily Express reported.
Also part of the "Pokemon GO" Christmas event is the introduction of gift boxes that have a lot of useful items for the players. These Special Boxes can be bought for 250 coins that have 10 Great Balls and two Incubators while Great Boxes can be obtained for 550 coins with 20 Great Balls and two Incense and four Incubators. Lastly, Ultra Boxes can be purchased for 1,500 coins that contain 20 Ultra Balls, 25 Incense and six Incubators.
Although this will be the last day of the "Pokemon GO" Christmas event, the game is still giving out a lot of bonuses that will still run for a few more days. In fact, in a post by Pokemon Go Informer, the game's New Year event will bring the Generation 1 starter Pokemon along with its revolutions that will often be seen in the wild.
Moreover, the third and final part of the "Pokemon GO" New Year event will allow the Lure Modules to run up to 60 minutes from its usual 30 minutes activity. This will help the item to be sold tremendously and for fans to take advantage of the event while it is still on sale. This, too, could help to boost the catch of starter Pokemon. This event will run until January 8.
