All eyes are on the Samsung Galaxy S8, something that hopes to save the sagging fortunes of the Korean company. Through the years, Samsung has made a living trying to copy Apple and improving what the Cupertino had to offer.

This year could be different with word that Samsung is headed in a different direction. Based on the slides recently spotted at the All About Windows Phone site, the Samsung Galaxy S8 could be leaning towards something big. Instead of Apple, Samsung may be taking a page out of the Windows side of thing. This involves seeing the Samsung Galaxy S8 acting as a PC of sorts, something similar to the HP Elite X3.

If so, that would require the addition of a keyboard, mouse and monitor and folks would get a portable mobile computing device which they could bring anywhere. For those unfamiliar with the HP Elite X3, this is the all-in-one device offered by Hewlett-Packard running on Windows 10. For a device to cater to such a niche, the mobile solution needs to be power-packed to carry out the usual desktop capabilities, MB Tech News reported.

A difference here would be to see the Samsung Galaxy S8 running on Android. That said, it will be interesting if the Google Play Store already has sufficient apps to cater to daily computing needs. Aside from that, Samsung needs to make sure that the Galaxy S8 is properly backed from inside.

Ambitious as it may sound, it all boils down to the capacity of the battery it will come with. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was hit with overstuffing the device which became too much for the battery that led to battery explosions. The last thing Samsung may want to do is carry that problem on the Galaxy S8 which is deemed the redemption device for the Korean giant.
