Happiness and a healthy mental state during the 40s have been proven to correlate with how high one's blood pressure is. According to Pauline Maillard of UC Davis Department of Neurology and Alzheimer's Disease Center, the stiffness of our arteries is detrimental to our mental health.

The new research has found that the primary and the secondary prevention of arterial stiffness do well not only for the body, for the brain as well. One primary cause of harder arteries includes high blood pressure, which also promotes atrophy and inflammation. This arterial stiffness restricts blood flow to vital organs, causing a heart attack or brain damage.

The cause and effect relationship between a healthy mental state and low blood pressure is the spirit of doing everything without health hesitations. Building careers will be perfect if the mind is healthy, and planning a daily workout will be better if the brain works properly. The brain holds the largest portion of all the emotion and major functional unit of the body.

In order to prevent these from happening, experts are suggesting that people in this age group should get proper exercise and eat the right kind of food, particularly fiber. According to a nutritionist at Food Trainers in New York City, eating fiber-rich food may result in regulating the blood flow to the brain.

Fiber helps lower the risk of heart diseases, with gut microbiota influencing the blood flow through the arteries. It also improves digestion, prevents constipation and decreases the potential for developing diabetes. Eating fiber-rich food items leads to better heart fraction and blood pressure, minimizing the chances of heart failure which can often go undetected.

What human beings eat is one of the important factors in life which needs attention. People consuming a healthy percentage of fiber proves to live a life without any risk of health problems. Fiber is good for the body and if the brain works well, so does the body.
