This year, fans of Marvel's "Wolverine" franchise will be treated to the final film in which Hugh Jackman plays the titular character. "Logan" is set to debut this March 3, and along with it comes Jackman's final bow as the Marvel superhero. But it seems that he isn't ready to exit the role just yet.

Following Ryan Reynolds' very public statements about his desire for his "Deadpool" to collaborate with Jackman's Wolverine, the latter has finally aired his opinion. Jackman told Variety that despite Deadpool and Wolverine being a "perfect fit," it seems that the collaboration is too soon.

Jackman admitted that "the timing may be wrong" for a Wolverine-Deadpool collaboration. Right now, Marvel is moving on to another phase of its cinematic universe, with the franchises of "X-Men," "X-Men: First Class," "Iron-Man," "Avengers" and others coming to a close. It's now the era of "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Ant-Man," and "Spider-Man."

However, fans are still hoping that 2009 would not be the last time they would see both Jackman and Reynolds on screen together as the Wolverine and Deadpool. In fact, Entertainment Weekly reports that Reynolds recently filmed a scene that may be included as a post-credits scene for "Logan." Fans are familiar with how Marvel likes to put snippets and teasers after the credits have rolled.

"Logan" marks the last time Jackman will fill the role of Wolverine, and many who have seen the trailer have likened it to the story of the action-adventure video game from Naughty Dog, "The Last of Us." "Logan" is set to hit theaters this March 3. The film stars Jackman alongside Patrick Stewart who reprises his role as Charles Xavier, and Dafne Keen as Laura, who is assumed to be X-23.
