Health experts have always recommended that regular exercise and healthy eating are the only things people need to lose and maintain weight. However, in order to shed pounds, people tend to look for the easiest and/or fastest way, ignoring the risks brought upon by drastic weight loss. A recent study claims that as simple as walking for five minutes can help people achieve a healthy lifestyle even in workplaces. This is deemed the easiest and simplest exercise routine for 2017.

Walk five minutes after every hour of working. That's what researchers from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center and Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute suggest to improve a person's overall wellbeing. Not only that, walking five minutes after every hour also helps boost energy and mood levels throughout the day.

The study published in the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity, also found out that walking five minutes after every hour, which they called "microbouts", also reduces food cravings thus staving off weight gain. The microbouts also help reduce fatigue and increase vigor.

The study primarily targeted the physical inactivity of office workers as there are growing studies on the bad effects of sitting for long periods of time but can be easily incorporated into anyone's daily routine. This easiest and simplest exercise routine is the answer the researchers came up to help office workers meet the 30-minute daily physical activity recommended by the U.S Health Department.

By doing this easiest and simplest exercise routine or the microbouts, even the busiest people can squeeze in and accomplish the recommended daily physical activity requirement. By doing the microbouts throughout the day, its great effects on the person's energy and mood levels will be sustained. Not only that, it's so easy and simple that it won't even disrupt the person's focus and performance!

By following this simple and easy exercise routine, anyone can start and maintain a healthy lifestyle. It only takes five minutes so there's no excuse for anyone not to try it.
