‘Better Call Saul’ Season 3 Release Date & Spoilers: New Teaser Revealed; Shows Jimmy McGill Undergoing Mugshot
AMC has finally revealed the first look of "Better Call Saul" Season 3. The network dropped the official teaser of the much-awaited "Breaking Bad" spin-off that gave a glimpse of Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) undergoing a mug shot.
Jimmy is definitely back in "Better Call Saul" Season 3, but it looks like he is in trouble. Although the clip only shows 15 seconds of what fans are about to see, it makes them more excited and puzzled about what's in store in the next installment. According to The Independent, in the show's previous season finale, Chuck was seen asking Jimmy to confess about him manipulating the court documents that the initial recorded to use against him.
With the look of "Better Call Saul" Season 3's new trailer, it seems Chuck really uses the tape against Jimmy as he is now at a police station. No other crimes fans can think of that the latter did, thus all points out to his brother's betrayal giving the tape to the authorities. This, too, might ignite the much-awaited transformation of Jimmy to Saul Goodman.
Meanwhile, the president of AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios Charlie Collier commended "Better Call Saul" Season 3's showrunners Vince Gilligan, Peter Gould and the rest of team of their accomplishments with the "Breaking Bad" spin-off. He revealed that they have a remarkable and rare move for creating "iconic, immersive and fan-obsessive" shows in television history. Their take on the prequel, in fact, can even stand on its own by anchoring Jimmy as the main antagonist.
"Watching Jimmy McGill's thoughtful, melodic and morally flexible transformation into Saul Goodman is entertaining and delighting millions of fans," Collier described. He even added that even though Gould and Gilligan's starting point was "Breaking Bad" or not, "Better Call Saul" has its own "feel, pace and sensibility." Meanwhile, the trailer didn't reveal the exact release date of "Better Call Saul" Season 3, but it teased its return in the spring of 2017 on AMC.
