'Grand Theft Auto 6' Release Date, News & Update: Rockstar Games May Launch 'GTA 6' After 'Red Redemption 2'
Rumors regarding the "Grand Theft Auto 6" release date are making its rounds on the Internet. While Rockstar Games chose to keep mum regarding this subject, fans are piecing the puzzle to finally figure out when will "GTA 6" be developed. Now that Rockstar Games may be giving their undivided attention to their other popular title "Red Dead Redemption 2," this may cause the delay in the "GTA 6" development.
Since it is first to launch, it only makes sense for Rockstar Games to give their full attention to "Grand Theft Auto 5." The video game developer then noted that they want the fans to do the same as well. As if focusing on "GTA 5" is not enough, Rockstar Games is also preparing for the launch of "Red Dead Redemption 2," pushing "Grand Theft Auto 6" out of the priority list.
It seems that "GTA 6" is facing more problems than progress as it has been previously reported that the budget for the game may be too high. Rumors have it that "Grand Theft Auto 6" may feature VR or AR support. So with that added feature, the multi-million budget for the much-awaited game may be too much for the video game developer to handle. "Grand Theft Auto 5" cost Rockstar Games a whopping $265 million to develop.
With the rumored VR or AR support, the cost for "GTA 6" will definitely be much higher than that. But even with the multi-million cost, it is expected that Rockstar Games will get more than twice the amount they spent for "Grand Theft Auto 6." Basing on "Grand Theft Auto 5" profit, the site revealed that "GTA 5" generated over $800 million in just 24 hours of its release.
With the hype of "Grand Theft Auto 6" getting bigger by the minute, the game has a huge capacity to earn a large profit despite the huge budget. Although Rockstar Games has yet to announce the official "Grand Theft Auto 6" release date, many believed that "GTA 6" will be launched in 2018 or 2020.
