‘The Vampire Dairies’ Season 8 Latest Spoilers & Update: The Odds Are High That Katherine Pierce Will Arrive In Mystic Falls
"The Vampire Dairies" season 8 continues its crazy plot, pulling all the stops for the series finale. However, Nina Dobrev hasn't made her appearance yet but hints from the previous episode suggest that this will change soon.
"The Vampire Dairies" season 8 continues to sizzle with dramatic events, making fans raise their expectations for its last and final season. In particular, they are still expecting to see Nina Dobrev in the second half of the series as either Katherine or Elena. However, many fans believe there were hints from the previous episode that points to Dobrev's return as Katherine, Screener reported. Georgie's (Allison Scagliotti) death looked all too familiar to many fans.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 last episode saw Alaric's (Matt Davis) intern got sucked into a void of darkness after roaming around as a spirit. As explained by Seline (Kristen Gutoskie), Georgie will be making her way into Cade's (Wole Parks) hell and this made fans relive what happened to Katherine in season 5. To recall, Katherine was dragged down into a similar black void. As such, many fans believe that Katherine and Georgie may be in the same place right now.

In a previous interview with TV Guide, executive producer Caroline Dries said that Katherine's unusual landed her in a dark world. The showrunner refused to confirm if it was Heaven or Hell, just a dark empty space. Saying this, there were speculations that this could mean the place where Cade came from. While they may have a different concept of Hell, the fact that Katherine and Georgie's death are too similar is making fans edgy with excitement for the second half of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.
"The Vampire Dairies" season 8 hasn't confirmed or denied Dobrev's return for the last and final season. It remains to be seen if she'd appear one last time for the series' fans. Executive producer Julie Plec has expressed her optimism from such event. "The Vampire Diaries" returns Friday (Jan. 13) at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
