‘Sherlock’ Season 4 Latest News & Update: Creator Mark Gatiss Slams Critic In The Most Creative Way, Details Here!
"Sherlock" season 4 premiered at the beginning of the year and the highly-acclaimed TV series received mixed reviews from critics. For those who were critical of the season 4 premiere, co-creator Mark Gatiss may just have the perfect poem for you.
"Sherlock" season 4 received praises and criticism on its premiere episode. One particular feedback came from "The Guardian's" Ralph Jones, who complained that the titular character of the same name is becoming more James Bond than a genius detective. Playing Sherlock's brother Mycroft and as well as producing the show, Mark Gatiss responded in the only way he knows how on Wednesday, TVLine reported. In a perfect British fashion, he dedicated a lyric poem entitled "To An Undiscerning Critic."
"Sherlock" season 4 aired its premiere episode titled "The Six Thatchers" on January 1, 2017, which featured plenty of plot twists and action. Jones picked up the actions part mostly and described the character as becoming more like James Bond than a clever detective. He added that Steven Moffat and Gatiss should be aware that their main character may suffer the very fate Conan Doyle wanted to avoid.

Gatiss pointed out that the original "Sherlock" stories had plenty of action too. In fact, Gatiss cited several classic "Sherlock Holmes" moves in his poem, ending it with reference to the great actors who also portrayed the iconic detective in the past years. With his creative way of slamming critics, this should give "Sherlock" season 4 enough justification to feature as many actions scenes as it wants.
In fact, Gatiss previously revealed that season 4 will definitely feature a lot of action. The next episode of "Sherlock" season 4, which will air on January 15 would probably the most action-packed that the series has done. Meanwhile, the season 4 premiere was comparatively lower than its previous seasons, Deadline reported. Stay tuned for more updates and your favorite shows!
