HTC 2017 Lineup Release Date, Latest News & Update: Codenames Leaked, New Devices Expected by Q1
HTC is primed to release three new devices in the coming months, the code names of which may have been leaked. Expected to debut this first quarter of 2017 are the HTC 11, HTC One X10 and the HTC U Ultra.
In a previous report, the HTC U Ultra is also known as the HTC Ocean Note. Ironically, this is the first device expected to come out and this may happen next week, Jan. 12. As for the two other devices under the HTC banner, the HTC 11 goes under the code name HTC E66 while the HTC One X10 will be under the name HTC Alpine. The alleged code names were spread over Twitter by ROM developer @LlabTooFeR via TrendyTechz.

With the potential specs of the HTC U Ultra already covered, we go to the two other devices expected to come out in the coming months. The HTC One X10 will allegedly tote a 5.5-inch display and come powered by a MediaTek MT6755 SoC Octa-core 1.9 GHz CPU and Mali T860 GPU. It will also tote a 16.3 MP main camera plus a front-facing 7.9 MP shooter.
The HTC 11 will come with a similar 5.5-inch display (1440x2560 resolution) and likely come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The rest of its specs are expected to be along the lines of 2017 flagship-type specs, Phone Arena reported.
With an interesting lot, HTC is hoping to catch a break as it tries to rebound from its poor performance. The HTC 10 was pegged to do that last time out though most are probably aware that the device sputtered in doing so. Hence, a lot is at stake for the trio of devices who may have their work cut out with rival brands expected to unveil their own smartphone lineups of 2017.
