“Five Nights at Freddy’s” has made a name for itself as one of the top mobile game apps to get. But how will the action-horror flick fare if played on game consoles? The only one who has a clear answer to that is probably game developer Scott Cawthon. Seeing a game console version for “Five Nights at Freddy’s” is possible though it may take some time.

It is obviously a process with Cawthon taking his time selecting which company he would be partnering with. To date, he has not mentioned any group in particular though he does have some preferences just in case, according to the Steam Discussion forums. That would include the creative freedom and flexibility for “Five Nights at Freddy’s” on whichever studio he ends up working with.

The latest word out is that Cawthon already has a group in mind though the identity has been kept under wraps for the meantime, Eurogamer reported. Assuming Cawthon is indeed in the midst of hooking up with a game studio, the next question most wants to know is how they would go about it. Would it be an entirely new game or something that would simply be ported?

From the looks of it, Cawthon would be best developing an entirely new game should it make its way to game consoles soon. Most are aware that there are limitations for the mobile version of the “Five Nights at Freddy’s”, not to mention putting to waste the advanced features the PS4, Xbox One or even the Nintendo Switch carry.

The only thing likely to be retained are the storylines for “Five Nights at Freddy’s”. It will continue to be the player vs. the “Animatronics”, hopefully with better graphics and smooth gameplay. If so, that should be something FNaF fans will surely welcome, particularly the ones who place premium on visuals.
