‘Hannibal’ Season 4 News & Update: Hugh Dancy Confirms New Chapter Will Be In The Works; Find Out When
A lot of fans are still hopeful for the return of "Hannibal" Season 4 on the small screen, although it has been more than a year since it ended. Their hopes are even supported by the showrunner Bryan Fuller's claims saying that he is planning to start the series again in August 2017.
However, his wish to start "Hannibal" Season 4 again leads to a lot of questions. Fans still want to see the psychological thriller television series lead by its main stars, Hugh Dancy as Will Graham and Mads Mikkelsen as Hannibal Lecter, but with these two actors busy schedule, it seems impossible. However, the 41-year-old "Ella Enchanted" star confirmed that the show will be in the works and will still anchor him.
Dancy told TVGuide that Fuller already pitched "Hannibal" Season 4 to him and "it could happen in five years time." While promoting "The Path" in front of the press at TVGuide, the "Confessions of a Shopaholic" actor revealed that the upcoming show's storyline wouldn't be a problem and he wants it to be brought to life. He also revealed that he loves Fuller and the storyline that he gives to him.
Moreover, Dancy also disclosed that if there would be "Hannibal" Season 4, he is quite sure that Mikkelsen, Fuller and him would definitely be there and could be all available. Although he is not sure of the 51-year-old "Doctor Strange" star's schedule, he still sees it happen. Meanwhile, it was recently reported that if the show will be back on air, Fuller wants it to have the theme of Thomas Harris' 1988 novel, "Silence of the Lambs."
Although he finds it hard to obtain "Silence of the Lambs" rights from the 1991 movie version's producers, he is very positive that he could get it. "I think the film adaptation is a perfect film but there are a lot of interesting [details] to explore," he said. He, too, is eyeing to make "Hannibal" Season 4 as original as possible, in spite of being derived from the book.
