Samsung will try to see how the aura of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will affect its upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8, something happening next month. The new flagship is widely believed to be debuting at the annual “Unpacked Event”, the traditional show that comes before the big Mobile World Congress happening in the same month.

The special event for the Samsung Galaxy S8 will take place in New York but the twist here is that there could be a slight delay as far as the release date is concerned. Most anticipated a release in March, seeing this was the same time the Samsung Galaxy S7 came out in the open. But looking prior to 2016, Samsung seems to be on schedule seeing the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S5 launching in April before, Forbes reported.

Instead, Samsung will reportedly devote March as the main mass production month for the Samsung Galaxy S8. Some of the likely features of the next flagship have already been leaked and that includes the iteration of the home button and the 3.5 mm jack. The good news is that the spotted leak showed a device sporting a dual-edged curved display and an improved front camera with autofocus, NDTV reported.

Other features that the Samsung Galaxy S8 could have to offer include 8 GB of RAM, a pressure-sensitive display that could be similar to the Apple 3D Touch and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 935 SoC or Exynos 8895 chipset. One of the highlights that Samsung has for the Galaxy S8 includes a new AI assistant in “Bixby” or “Kelstra” as mentioned in a previous post.

There is also a speculated new “Beast Mode” for the Samsung Galaxy S8, pegged to boost the capacity of the phone’s processing power. Like before, a big screen variant is to be expected with the Samsung Galaxy S8 plus which will tote a 6-inch display and an external S-Pen stylus.
