iOS 10.2 Jailbreak Latest News & Update: Lucas Todesco Launching New Tool for Left out Apple Models
Lucas Todesco is riding on the momentum of releasing his first crack, the Yalu iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak. While it may technically be the first tool to try and take a swipe at iOS 10, it was far from perfect. The Yalu iOS 10.1.1 JB was unstable and was semi-tethered. It was also limited to a few models but a new tool may add more Apple devices soon.
The Italian hacker revealed plans of coming up with an iOS 10.2 Yalu jailbreak specifically made for older phones. The list includes the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus and SE. The iPhone 7 is not included in the mix, meaning folks will have to settle for the current iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak. Hence, members of the Apple Jailbreaking community are forewarned to make the necessary checks before applying any of the Todesco iOS jailbreaks. The last thing most would need is a bricked phone.
It remains to be seen if Todesco will stay the course following the release of the Yalu iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak. Another hacker, Stefan Esser, mentioned that there is a team currently working on an iOS 10.2 crack, Forbes reported. It was obviously not in reference to Todesco with most waiting on that as well.
As far as Pangu is concerned, the Chinese hacking group has been conspicuously quiet for quite some time now. Nothing followed their iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak though most are under the impression that they are working on an iOS 10.2 jailbreak. As before, the word out is that Pangu is waiting (again) for the opportune time to release the alleged crack – something that may yet again never happen.
Apple is expected to roll out another update soon in the iOS 10.3, Apple Insider reported. There is no definite timetable for now but like before, Pangu and other hacking groups are working against time. Todesco has technically ived up to his word while Pangu has had nothing to show thus far.
