There are speculations that Sherrinford might not be a person but a location that will prove to be an important part of "The Final Problem". Some believe that Eurus is set to use Sherrinford to destroy her brother in the season finale. But perhaps the final problem of "Sherlock" Season 4 Episode 3 is that it could potentially be the last episode of the series that could air anytime soon.

Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat have previously hinted on the possibility that "Sherlock" Season 4 could the final season for the series. The show's possible cancellation could be due to Benedict Cumberbatch's unavailability now that he is officially a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If "The Final Problem" turns out to be a true final problem, what better way to end everything than by giving Sherlock some closure with his equally brilliant sister Eurus?
