Wentworth Miller 2017: 'Prison Break' Season 5 Actor Reveals Dark Past & Almost Losing Life To Depression
Wentworth Miller's portrayal of Michael Scofield and his good looks made him a household name. But while fans are busy adoring him, the "Prison Break" Season 5 actor was busy dealing with his inner demons. Before Wentworth Miller opened up about his sexuality in 2013, fans were dubbing him to be the next best thing in Hollywood.
Little did they know that the "Prison Break" Season 5 star was already battling anxiety and depression, which showed right after the "Prison Break" series supposedly ended in 2009. Wentworth Miller started to gain weight and looked nothing like his famous character, Michael Scofield. Because of this transformation, the "Prison Break" Season 5 star became a laughing stock in social media, which didn't help to the actors ongoing battle with anxiety and depression.
The LAD Bible took Wentworth Miller's weight gain as a fun opportunity to laugh about the actor's new look, but instead of getting people to laugh with them, their rude comments totally backfired. Fans were not happy about the site's release of the body-shaming meme of the "Prison Break" Season 5 star and were disgusted with their action.
The LAD Bible eventually took down the post and apologized to Wentworth Miller, as reported by The Sun. Instead of lashing back at the site, the "Prison Break" Season 5 star explained his unflattering photo that was taken back in 2010 in a lengthy Facebook post. Wentworth Miller revealed that the photo was taken during the lowest point of his life. He also shared that he was suicidal and only a few people knew about his struggle.
Since the "Prison Break" Season 5 star knows how hard it is to deal with anxiety and depression, Wentworth Miller participated in an organization that helps people suffering from the same problems. For now, the 44-year-old actor is taking his life back slowly but surely. Can catch Wentworth Miller as Michael Scofield once again in "Prison Break" Season 5 as it premiere in April 4, 2017.
