‘Lucifer’ Season 2 News & Update: Tim DeKay Will Be The New Big Bad; Show Having 3 Procedural Arc
Timothy Robert "Tim" DeKay is coming in "Lucifer" Season 2 to be the new big bad. The 53-year-old star will be playing a major antagonist role that will soon be a problem to Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis).
Fox recently dropped new teaser photos to give a glimpse of "Lucifer" Season 2's new villain, DeKay. Although he has a good intention as a white collar veterinarian named Dr. Jacob Carlisle, he is set to do evil things. The exceptional neuroscience professor's meeting with Lucifer would bring dangerous consequences for someone the latter about.
The television series' co-showrunner Ildy Modrovich explained to TVLine that they needed "one big bad guy" that they could add to the show's mythology, to digging into Lucifer and Chloe and if "will they/won't they." She also added that they are always trying to explore "duality and gray area" in the show, thus they don't just have the bad guys and good guys and this perfectly sums DeKay's role. He will be seen doing awful stuff, but he actually has no bad intentions in "Lucifer" Season 2.
Dr. Carlisle experienced to make the terrible moral call and being in the middle of distress, he now changed his mind. Hence, he is now doing unlawful things. Modrovich also revealed that they are about to do something different in "Lucifer" Season 2 that they have never done before and that is having a "three-procedural arc."
"Lucifer" Season 2 will return on Jan. 16 with just three episodes and will be once again on a brief hiatus, returning on May 1. The episode DeKay will be gracing is going to be aired on Jan. 23 and Spoilers Guide already revealed its official synopsis. Titled "Love Handles," Lucifer and Chloe will be investigating a new masked killer will be lurking the city poisoning his college student victims.
