‘Broadchurch’ Season 3 News & Update: A-Lister Stars Coming; Miller, Hardy To Face Consequences In New Investigation
"Broadchurch" Season 3 is now preparing for its return with a massive inclusion of A-lister stars. As the show will continue its story after three years, Detective Inspector Alec Hardy (David Tennant) and Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) are back to investigate new crimes.
The "Corrie" star Julie Hesmondhalgh will be joining "Broadchurch" Season 3 as a traumatized rape victim named Trish. The husband will be played by "The Fast Show" actor Charlie Higson while Lenny Henry will portray the character of Ed Burnett, her boss at the farm shop. The 48-year-old actress will also be joined by Sarah Parish as her best friend Cath and Mark Bazeley as the latter's spouse, Mirror Online reported.
Moreover, Hardy was last seen experiencing heart pains in the previous season of the British television crime drama. Now in "Broadchurch" Season 3, he will be fully recovered and ready to investigate another case with Miller. The two are going to look into the horrific attack happening in the seaside town.
Meanwhile, as ITV announced the coming of "Broadchurch" Season 3, it also revealed that this will be the final bow of the television series. The show is often filmed in and around West Bay, Bridport and Clevedon in Dorset on the south coast of England. Its storyline, in fact, is one of the most guarded secrets the network keeps, according to Radio Times.
As "Broadchurch" Season 3 returns, Miller and Hardy will be once again teaming to investigate the serious sexual assault. They, too, have to face its consequences as the Dorset community will be under inspection. This time, they will look at all the emotional effect of what happened to everyone who's involved and the great damage it brings to every relationship and friendship. "We have one last story to tell ... I hope it's a compelling and emotional farewell to a world" writer Chris Chibnall said.
