There's something eerily amazing about FOX's "Gotham" season 3, which is slated to return to television on Monday at 8 p.m. First of all, Jerome is set to rise from the dead in a fashion that fans and viewers still don't know, and there's also Falcone's renewed anger for Detective Jim Gordon after the latter shot Mario dead. But in the upcoming season of "Gotham" season 3, Penguin is haunted by his dead father.

When "Gotham" season 3 returns on Monday, the show will pick up where it left off, and it will show viewers how relationships progress on the show. First of all, there's Bruce and Selina, who may or may not experience a falling out thanks to the latter's mother's arrival.

Speaking of parent-children relationships, Penguin is haunted by his dead father who he recently just met. The new midseason premiere video shows a shaken Penguin whose visions of his late father are quite chilling. Meanwhile, Penguin's father isn't the only one seemingly returning from the dead on "Gotham" season 3.

In fact, Screen Crush reported that Cameron Monaghan's Joker is set to return. A still was shared on various official social media channels showing Dr. Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin) character uncovering a seemingly lifeless Jerome. But that will soon change, as his revival will be uncovered once "Gotham" season 3 returns to television.

Also to be uncovered is the reason why Penguin is haunted by his dead father. In the new midseason preview shown by Comic Book, Penguin has visions of his late father and he has to figure out why he is being haunted. "Gotham" season 3 returns to television on Monday, January 16 at 8 p.m. The show will again take a short hiatus after three episodes and return in April.
